Death Of ED MONAGHAN

Ed Monaghan, whose serious illness was mentioned in these columns a few weeks since, died last Friday in a sanatarium at Colfax, California. He had been ill for a long time with tuberculosis, which followed a severe case of pneumonia. His brother James was with him for several weeks prior to his death and accompanied the body here for burial.

The body arrived here yesterday evening, and funeral services were held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church this forenoon, and burial was at Saint Patrick's cemetery, Lee township.

James Monaghan returned from Colfax, Calif., this week, bringing the body of his brother, Edward Monaghan, who died July 3d, 1915.

Edward grew up to manhood on his father's farm in Union township, and has many friends and former schoolmates who regret his early death. He leaves two brothers, Thomas and James Monaghan and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Melroy, Mrs. J. M. Nolan of Panola, Kansas and Mrs. P. J. Cunningham. He was laid to rest in St. Patrick's cemetery.
