Services were held Thursday, April 2, 1981, at First Christian Church in Winterset for Lois Loraine Smith, who died March 30 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 58 years old.
Born in Winterset on Nov. 21, 1922, she was the daughter of Alfred Nelson and Ida Carlson.
On Nov. 26, 1941, she married Wayne G. Smith in Bethany, Missouri. Mr. Smith died on April 8, 1976.
A housewife, she was also a member of the First Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, Columbian Club and Studious Moderns Club.
She is survived by two sons, Gary of Naples, Fla., and Ronnie of Ankeny; three daughters, Judy and Jean Smith of Naples, Fla. and Jean Smith of Naples, Fla. and Jan Grondahl of West Des Moines; three sisters, Ruth Shank and Frances Ballard of Des Moines and Beryle Woodward of Azusa, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
