Rollie E. "Jack" Robbins Sr., 81, of Patterson died of a heart ailment Oct. 15, 1999 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 18, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson.
Jack Robbins was born in Des Moines to Charles Sr. and Goldie Robbins. He lived in Patterson for 50 years. He retired as a construction foreman for Ringland, Jonnson and Crowley. Jack was a member of the Laborers' Union and Eagles Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruby and three grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons, William Robbins of Winterset, Rollie Robbins Jr. of Des Moines and John Robbins of Patterson; a daughter, Marjorie Robbins of Patterson; two brothers, Charles Robbins Jr. of Melcher and Sherman Robbins of Dallas, Iowa; a sister, Leona Smith of Boyd, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Children's Habilitation Center in Johnston.
