NANCY CAROLINE ROBINSON McCONNELEE

Nancy Caroline Robinson was born in Washington county, Virginia, October 24, 1849, and died in Nevada, Iowa, July 3, 1915, aged 65 years, 8 months and 10 days.

She came with her parents to Madison county, Iowa in the year 1868, was united in marriage to Andrew McConnelee, July 3, 1870, who departed this life January 3, 1912.

She was converted and became a member of the Methodist church while young and was steadfast to her profession until the truths of the third angels message was presented to her which she gladly accepted and has ever since been a faithful and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.

She greatly enjoyed studying her bible and helping others to see the beautiful truths it contained which was so dear to her. The last three years of her life she devoted much of her time and means to the temperance cause and longed to see the time when National Prohibition would be a success. She worked faithfully until her health failed and she was compelled to quit.

Her request was when she was through with her money that it be used in the interests of the temperance work and in giving the message of a soon coming Savior. She longed to live to see Jesus but was resigned to rest until he comes, which she fully believed would only be a short time.

She leaves to mourn their loss, five brothers, C. J., and M. M. Robinson of Winterset, Iowa, W.A. and D. R. of Oskaloosa and Wiley Robinson of Wichita, Kans., besides a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at the Seventh Day Adventist church of Winterset, conducted by Elder Ostrander of Des Moines, Ia. She was laid to rest in Rock City cemetery.
