TRURO RESIDENT DIES AT 94 YEARS

Pioneer Woman Had Lived in Madison County Since Late 50's

Mrs. John Muselman, one of the last of the real pioneers of Madison county, died Thursday, Jan. 19, at Truro. She was 94 years of age.

Mrs. Muselman was the former Frances Rebecca Young, daughter of J. J. and Sarah Young, and was born in Wetzel county, West Virginia on June 1, 1856. When she was two and a half years old she came to Iowa with her parents, making the trip in a covered wagon. They built a log cabin on a farm near Truro, and her early life was spent there.

She was married to John Muselman April 10, 1893. They were the parents of seven children, four of whom preceded the mother in death. The husband and father died in 1923.

Surviving children are: Rufus Muselman of Redwood City, Calif., Ralph Muselman of Osceola, and Mrs. Daisy Barnes of Truro. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
