Death of Paul Ritter

Macksburg, June 25 Special--

Paul Ritter, of Afton, was killed Monday evening at Creston, while doing stunt flying in his airplane. Mr. Ritter attended the high school at Macksburg a few years ago. He is a brother of Miss Hattie Ritter and Mrs. Arlie Graham. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock today at the Methodist church in Afton.

According to a witness, Ritter was unable to bring the plane out of a tailspin and it fell into a highway, bursting into flames. It was destroyed by the flames before the pilot could be removed from the wreckage. There were no passengers.
