ALBERT RISER, 91, DIED LAST SUNDAY

Long-Time Earlham Resident Dies at Memorial Hospital In Winterset

Albert Riser, a long-time resident of the Earlham Commuity died last Friday, Feb. 9, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, after a short illness. He was 91 years of age.

Mr. Riser had been making his home since last March with his nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Riser of Winterset

He was born at Elmore, Ok., on Sept. 10, 1870, the third son of John and Maria Hunziker Riser. When he was young the family moved to Cleremont, Ia., where he spent his early life. Most of his life was spent in the Earlham community, where he engaged in farming in partnership with his brother, the late John Riser. Later he lived on a farm at Altoona, but moved here last March.

He was one of 10 children, four of whom survive him. They are: Carrie Follett of Cleremont, Bertha Imboden of Winterset, Lydia Wilkie of Madrid and Evangeline Gilbert of Earlham.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Earlham Presbyterian church and burial made in the Earlham cemetery.
