Obituary

Joseph McKibben was born April 10, 1816, in Clinton county, Ohio, where he married Mary Ratliffe, January 10th, 1839. In 1864 he removed to Madison county, where he resided until his death which occurred February 26th, 1895. The funeral services were held at the Union Chapel, in Lincoln township, on February 27th, the sermon being preached by Rev. R. E. Harvey, of Lorimor, from Ps 8:4. A very large number of relatives, including the wife with whom he had lived joyfully for more than fifty-six years, all the children residing in this locality, many grandchildren and other near relatives, were present to take their last farewell of him who had proved himself ever a loving and generous friend. With these were many neighbors and acquaintances…(remainder not legible).
