Page 1Death of Alvin Edward Terry
Alvin Edward Terry, who had been in poor health for a year, died last Friday, January 11th, at Iowa City. He was a son of George C. and Cora Terry and was born in Winterset, July 24th, 1904.
In his earlier years he attended the public schools of Winterset. He was a great lover of music, preferring the violin to all other musical instruments.
Those left to mourn his death are his father, five sisters and one brother. They are, Mrs. Madge Trainer, of Cedar Falls; Mrs. Bessie Kudelka, and Mrs. Ray Roys, of Waterloo; Miss Dorothy, of Winterset, and Jesse, of Oakland, California. The latter was unable to be present at the funeral services.
The Rev. John T. Hall, pastor of the First Baptist church, conducted the funeral services for Mr. Terry at Tidrick’s funeral home Monday afternoon, January 14th, with interment in the Primitive Baptist cemetery, north of Winterset.

Alvin Edward Terry, twenty-four years old, died Friday at Iowa City where he had been taken for treatment. He was the son of George and Cora Terry and was born in Winterset where he attended the city schools. He is survived by his father, sisters, Mrs. Madge Trainer, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Bessie Kudelka and Mrs. Fay Roys, Waterloo; Dorothy of Winterset; and one brother. Jesse Terry, of Oakland, California.
Funeral Services were held Monday afternoon conducted by the Rev. J. T. Hall, of the Baptist church, and burial was in the Primitive Baptist cemetery.

Alvin Edward Terry, son of George C. and Cora Terry, was born July 24, 1904, at Winterset, Iowa, and died January 11, 1929, at Iowa City, Iowa.
In his earlier years he attended the public schools of Winterset. He was a great lover of music, preferring the violin to all other musical instruments. All who knew him liked him because of his congenial disposition, and he will be missed by his friends and associates.
Those who survive are his father, George Terry, four sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Madge Trainer, of Cedar Falls; Mrs. Bessie Kudelka and Mrs. Fay Roys, of Waterloo and Jesse, of Oakland, California, who was unable to be present at the services.
Services were conducted January 14 by the Rev. John T. Hall, pastor of the First Baptist church, with burial in the Primitive Baptist cemetery.
