Mrs. Fred F. Lytle

Mrs. Carrie Myrtle Lytle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Roberts, was born in St. Charles on July 22, 1875, and died at her home in Patterson on January 22, 1929, after a long illness of four year’s duration.

In 1899 she was married to Fred F. Lytle, and to this union were born five children: Forest, who died at the age of four; Lyle, Faye, Wendel and Maxine. The four children were with their mother at the time of her death.

While a young girl, the deceased united with the Methodist church, of which she was a member till her death. She leaves to mourn her departure the children, her husband, her mother, Mrs. Mollie Roberts, and a brother, Harry Roberts, the latter two of St. Charles. She was a member of the Jonathan Roby W. R. C. and also of the Truro chapter O. E. S. Patient in suffering, a loving helpmate, faithful mother and good neighbor, is the testimony of friends and family.

Short services were held at the home on Thursday morning, after which the body was taken to Truro, where services were conducted by the Rev. F. G. Barnes, of St. Charles. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
