MRS. MARY BONHAM OF MACKSBURG DIES

Life-Long Resident of This County Was 83 Years of Age

Mrs. Mary E. Bonham, a life-long resident of Madison county, died at her home in Macksburg Sunday, January 28. She was 83 years of age.

Mrs. Bonham was the former Mary Elizabeth McKinzie, daughter of Aaron and Elizabeth Jane McKinzie, and was born in this county April 4, 1867. They were the parents of a son, Frances A. Bonham of Macksburg, and three daughters, Mrs. Allie Rogers of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Verlie Garrett of Macksburg, and Mrs. Estella Meehan of Denver, Colo. The husband and father died in 1934.

Mrs. Bonham was a life-long member of the Baptist church at Macksburg. She also was affiliated with the Rebekah lodge there.

In addition to her four children, she leaves two brothers, John W. McKinzie of Blackwell, Okla., and Samuel L. McKinzie of Lorimor; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Macksburg Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. James Wilkins. Burial was made in Moon cemetery there.
