Resident of Bevington Since 1922 Was 66 Years of Age

Mrs. George F. Bussanmas, a well-known resident of Bevington for many years, died Friday, Dec. 29 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Carson, in Winterset. She was 66 years of age.

Mrs. Bussanmas was the former Margaret McNamara, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Nugent McNamara. She was born in Des Moines April 13, 1884, and her early life was spent in that community.

She graduated in nursing from St. Joseph's hospital in Sioux City in 1902. During the first World war, she served the U.S. army as a Red Cross nurse, being stationed at Camp Zachery Taylor, near Louisville, Ky.

She was married April 22, 1922, to George F. Bussanmas of Bevington. Their married life was spent at Bevington until about a year ago when, because of her failing health, she and Mr. Bussanmas came to Winterset to make their home with their daughter.

Mrs. Bussanmas is survived by her husband and daughter, and by her nephew, Walter Shaw of Des Moines, who was reared in her home. She also leaves a granddaughter; and two sisters, Mrs. F. P. Cassady of Prole and Mrs. George Burch of Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services were conducted with solemn High Mass Monday from the Church of the Assumption at Churchville. The Rev. Father Jourdain of Des Moines said the Mass, and the Rev. Dennis Curtain preached the sermon. They were assisted on the altar by the Rev. Father Meier of St. Marys and the Rev. J. J. Judge of Winterset. Burial was made in the Churchville cemetery.
