CHARLES SMITH Dies At Truro

Charles E. Smith of Truro died there Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1961, at the age of 58 years. He had been a resident of the Truro Community for 20 years.

Mr. Smith was born near Queen City, Mo., on Dec. 30, 1902, a son of Charles and Nellie Klein Smith. He was baptized in the Lutheran church there.

His active life was spent in farming.

He was married Dec. 31, 1923, at Keokuk to Lula MacGregory, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Paulina Youmans of Truro, Mrs. Mary E. Marinus of Des Moines, and Mrs. Twyla Linsley of Cleveland, Miss. He also leaves two brothers, Paul R. Smith of Atlantic and Hugh H. Smith of Osceola; and a step-father, Tom Brown of Peru.

Funeral services were held friday from the Kale Funeral home, conducted by Arnold Schaper, student pastor. Burial was made in Ebeneezer cemetery.
