HENRY RICHARDSON DIES IN DES MOINES

Funeral Services Scheduled There Wednesday, Burial There Wednesday, Burial At Colfax

Henry I. Richardson, recently of near Winterset, died Sunday, April 17, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Billie Hutchinson, in Des Moines. His death ended a two month illness, following surgery. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Richardson was a native of Hancock county, where he was born December 10, 1878 and where he spent his early life. He united with the First Presbyterian church there.

In 1900 he was married to Lizzie Bales, and they were parents on nine children. They made their home in Colfax until 1928, when they moved to Des Moines. The wife and four of the children preceded him in death.

In 1944 he was married to Lulu Palmer of Winterset. They made their home on a farm here until his recent illness.

He leaves his wife, Lula; and five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lee, Mrs. Helen King, Mrs. Billie Hutchinson, all of Des Moines, Mrs. Mildred Anderson of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mrs. Hazel Richardson of Huntington Park, California; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines, in charge of the Rev. Henry J. Schrag of Ft. Des Moines Presbyterian church. Burial is to be made at Colfax.
