Bonnie Reed, Winterset

Bonnie Reed, 58, of Winterset, died of a brain tumor Dec. 28, 1996 at her residence. Funeral services will be today, Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. David Elmore will officiate the services and burial will at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Creston on April 22, 1938 to Noah and Cecil M. (Martin) Green. She married Richard K. Reed on June 25, 1957 in Des Moines. She was a retired manager at 4 Sons Handy Shops in Winterset. She has been a resident of Winterset for the past 39 years, having come here from Lorimor. She was a former member of the Pythian Sisters and a member of the Lorimor United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son; one daughter; one brother; one sister and two infant twin sisters.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two daughters, Valarie J. McDonald and Vicky J. Atkinson, both of Winterset; one brother, Noah Green, Jr. of Conway, Ark.; three sisters, Aldean Overton of Des Moines, Gerry Henry of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Carolyn Mickael of Mt. Ayr; and three beloved grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Middle River Hospice.
