Herman Radke Dies At 65

Funeral services for Herman Radke, former Jefferson township resident, were conducted Thursday, March 23, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. by Pastor E. A. Breiholz at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter.

Mr. Radke had farming as his vocation but for the past ten years he had been employed at the Great Plains Bag Co. on Bell Avenue in Des Moines. The past seven years he was foreman on his shift at the Bag Co.

Mr. Radke, 65 years of age, died March 20 from complications following surgery. Survivors are his four daughters, Rosella, Marjorie, Kathleen and Carolyn. Five grandchildren, one sister and three brothers. His parents preceded him in death.

Interment was at Lutheran Church Cemetery. McLarens of West Des Moines are in charge of arrangements.
