Services were held for Carl Radke, 81, Fri., Nov. 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter. He died Mon., Nov. 26 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of a heart ailment.
He was born September 6, 1909 in Madison County, the son of Herman and Ida Radke. He married Esther Boos at Trinity Lutheran Church on December 7, 1932. A lifelong resident of the Van Meter area, he was a farmer, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of the Van Meter School Board.
Mr. Radke was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Bill of Van Meter, Don of St. Louis, Mo., and Robert of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter, Maryann Daux of des Moines; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
