Leona B. Raber Services Held

Mrs. Leona B. Raber, a Madison County resident for the past 24 years, died Monday December 24, at the age of 66.

Mrs. Raber was born in Dallas County on March 19, 1907, the daughter of Good and Myrtle Noel Baker. She was married to Lex Raber, who preceded her in death in 1957.

Mrs. Raber was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was occupied as a cook in a cafe.

Survivors include two sons; Dan and Howard Raber of Winterset; and one daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Songer of Winterset. Also surviving are six step-children; Mrs. Frances Bridges of Melbourne, Iowa, Mrs. Elsie Hunerdosse of Guthrie Center, Mrs. Betty Golightly of DeSoto, Mrs. Geneva Partridge of Maxwell, Mrs. Louise Anderson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Marilyn Hildebrand of Winterset.

A brother, Wilford Baker of Panora; and a sister, Mrs. Maudie Tomlinson of Des Moines, as well as four grandchildren and 22 step-grandchildren, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one stepson, one stepdaughter and one brother.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. H. E. Borum presiding. Burial was in the Wiscotta Cemetery, Redfield, Iowa.
