FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. IDA RADKE

Funeral services were held May 5 from Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson towship for Mrs. Ida A. Radke, whose death had occurred May 2 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. The Rev. E. Brieholz, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Radke was a life-long resident of Jefferson township. She was born there Aug. 13, 1884. She was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. William Bernau, who were early settlers in Jefferson township. She was 79 years of age at her death.

On Jan. 22, 1908, she was married to Herman F. Radke. They moved to a farm three miles east of her birthplace, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She had been a patient at Memorial hospital here since Feb. 13.

Surviving are her five children, Carl Selma and Paul of Van Meter, Herman of Norwalk and Martin of Greenfield. Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.
