BILL PURSCELL DIES AT AGE OF 76 YEARS

Wilbur "Bill" Purscell, a life-long resident of the Winterset community, died Thursday, Oct. 10, at University hospital in Iowa City. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Purscell was born here Oct. 10, 1886, a son of Mathew and Sarah Barlin Purscell. During his active years he worked as a laborer.

Nearest surviving relatives are nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the First Baptist church in Winterset, with the pastor, the Rev. Glynn Ensor officiating. Burial was made in Winterset cemetery.
