A funeral service was held this morning at Collins Funeral Home for Frank Purcell of Winterset, who died Monday, July 19 at Des Moines General Hospital. He was 88 years old.
Born in Madison county on April 11, 1894, he was the son of Charles and Nancy McDonald Purcell.
Survivors include a son, Richard, of Brownsville, Texas; 8 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Rev. Charles Updike officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in North McDonald Cemetery.
