Virginia Eyerly Price Death

A native of Jackson township, Virginia Eyerly Price, died Sunday, December 18, 1977, at Chester County Hospital, West Chester, Pennsylvania. She was 56, the daughter of Loren H. Eyerly and Emma McComb Eyerly.

Mrs. Price was born October 24, 1921. She attended Winterset schools, graduating with the class of 1939. She was employed as a secretary for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. and for the past 12 years was clerk-cashier of the Methodist Country House at Wilmington, Delaware.

Her marriage to Earl R. Price took place September 20, 1944. She was a member and deacon of the Brandywine Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; three sons, Earl Jr. of West Chester, Pa., David of Greenville, Maine, Mark of Montgomery, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Vicki) Matys of Marcus Hook, Pa., Gayle Price, at home and five grandchildren.

Also a brother, Mervin Eyerly of Council Grove, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Souder of Rudd, Ia., Mrs. Roger (Vivian) Williams of Kerrville, Tx. and Mrs. Ray (Doris) Schulz of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carroll in 1970.

Services for Mrs. Price were conducted December 22 from Brandywine Baptist Church at Chadds Ford, Pa. with burial near there. A memorial has been established to the church.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service from the Brandywine Baptist Church, Chadds Ford, Pa. on Thursday Dec. 22nd at 2:30 P.M. Interment Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to The Memorial Fund of the Brandywine Baptist Church, Chadds Ford, Pa. 19317. Arrangements by ALBERT F. KUZO FUNERAL HOME, Kennett Square, Pa.
