Services for William C. Price, 65, Earlham, who died May 5 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, May 9 at the First United Presbyterian Church at Winterset with the Rev. David Bauer and the Rev. Eldon Cole officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.
Born Aug. 11, 1922 in Earlham, he was the son of Emily and William F. Price. He attended school in Earlham, helped on his grandfather's farm and attended Iowa State College where he was a member of the Farm House Fraternity. While at Iowa State he met and married Joyce M. Nikolaison.
A World War II veteran, he returned to farming after the service and his farm became a century farm in 1972. He was a member of the Winterset United Presbyterian Church, the Earlham school board, one of the early Des Moines Community College boards, and currently vice president of the Farmer's Mutual Insurance board on which he had served for many years.
Survivors include his wife; children, Vicki L. Turbiville of Tonganoxie, Kan., Nancy L. Vaughn of Des Moines, Nicholas W. Price of Earlham and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
