Della M. Powers, 89, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment April 13, 1996 at the Winterset Care Center North. Graveside services were held April 16 at the Winterset Cemetery. Pastor Don Frank officiated the services.

She was born in Kewanee, Ill., on Feb. 2, 1907 to Arthur C. and Harriet M. (Keast) Bartlett. She married Philip F. Powers on March 19, 1925 in Des Moines. She was a retired homemaker and had lived a large part of her life in Madison County. She was a former Eastern Star member; and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sons; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include nieces and nephews.
