Jack Potter, Arizona

Jack R. Potter, 77, of Sun City, Ariz., died March 30, 1997 at Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital in Ariz. Memorial services were held April 5 at Sunland Lakeside Chapel.

He was born in Patterson on June 18, 1919 to Roy A. and Lillian (Yoder) Potter. He was a 1936 graduate of Patterson High School. He married Beatrice Clark on March 15, 1942 in Calif. He had served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He had served as radio operator in the South Pacific with the 375th Troop Carrier Group. He had been a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal service in Calif. and was a member of the American Legion Post 62 in Peoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, and one brother.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one daughter, Renee Gumbel of Greenwich, Conn.; two sisters, Doris Ray of Peoria, Ariz., and Shirley Wildin of Winterset; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association in Tempe, Ariz.
