Margaret Post Services Friday

Margaret Elizabeth Post, a former resident of Madison County, the sister of Frank Davis of Winterset, died Tuesday, July 10, at St. Joseph State Hospital, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Post was born February 2, 1898 in Cass County, Iowa, the daughter of John Davis and Hannah Twining Post. She was married to William Post March 24, 1920.

A resident of Madison for forty years, Mrs. Post resided in St. Joseph at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963 and one brother.

Surviving Mrs. Post are seven children: John D. Post of Macksburg, Iowa; Della Weimer of Des Moines; Mary McNally of Casey, Iowa; William Post Jr. of Clarkdale, Mo.; Franklin Post of Maysville, Mo.; Carl Post of Lodi, Calif. and George Post of Van Meter, Iowa.

Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Frank Davis of Winterset and a sister, Flora Shellberg of Red Oak, Iowa

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 1973 from the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

Officiating was the Rev. Lon Reising of Winterset.
