April 24, 1974Rites Held for Isabella Platts
Funeral services were held last Saturday, April 20, for Isabella M. Platts of Peru. Mrs. Platts had died at Des Moines General Hospital on Wednesday, April 17 at the age of 85.
Isabella Maria Platts was born at Luther, Iowa on August 11, 1888, the daughter of Calvin A. and Angeline Abrahams Shade. She received her education in the Wright County school system.
She was married to Perry Platts at Winterset in February of 1926. She devoted her life as a housewife, living at Peru.
Surviving are two brothers, Calvin Shade of Peru and Leland M. Shade of Seymour, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro, with the Rev. LLoyd Miller of St. Charles presiding. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
