Carl S. Missildine, 73, Des Moines attorney for 45 years and a native of Winterset, died Sunday, September 16th, of a heart attack, at a hunting lodge near Jackson, Wyoming. Mr. Missildine and his wife Lillian left Des Moines, August 1, for Robinson's ranch in the Jackson Hole country where they had spent two months of the fall fishing and hunting season for the past ten years.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hamilton funeral home, with burial at Resthaven cemetery.
Mr. Missildine was born, December 11, 1882 in Madison county and taught school in this county for a year. After attending Iowa state teachers college in 1904, he was principal of the Irwin schools in Shelby county. He was graduated from the Drake University college of law, in Des Moines, in 1911, and since then has been an attorney in Des Moines. He was active in Republican politics and a member of Wesley Methodist church and of Masonic orders.
He is survived by his widow and their three children: Dale S. Missildine, also a lawyer and transportation superintendent of the Des Moines Transit Co., and Dr. W. Hugh Missildine of Columbus, Ohio, and a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Bridge of Storm Lake.
