MRS. MINNIE WHITING DIES AT ST. CHARLES
Mrs. Minnie L. Whiting died Saturday, Sept. 8th at a nursing home in St. Charles.
Mrs. Whiting was 92 years of age. She was a native of Winterset, living here until 1910, when she moved to Des Moines. She lived in Des Moines until 1948, after which she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W. D. Caldwell at Prairie City.
In addition to the daughter, she is survived by a son, John Whiting of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Monday from Anderson's home for funerals in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth of St. Charles. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie L. Whiting, whose death occurred Sept. 8 at St. Charles spent 41 years of her life in Madison county, Her death occurred at the age of 91 years.
She was a native of Winterset, where she was born Sept. 24, 1864, a daughter of John C. and Harriett Lake Foster. She was married to Elmer E. Whiting, who preceded her in death in 1933.
She was a member of Trinity Methodist church in Des Moines.
Surviving are a son, John B. Whiting of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. W. D. Caldwell of Prairie City, three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 10 from the Anderson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth of St. Charles. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
