MRS. HENRY JOECKEL DIED SATURDAY

Was Life-Long Resident of Winterset; Burial Made at Burlington

Mrs. Henry Joeckel, a life-long resident of Winterset and formerly a well-known business woman here died Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Memorial hospital here. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Joeckel was the former Geraldine Jones, daughter of Thomas and Rachel Jones. She was born in Winterset Feb. 1, 1881. On Nov. 27, 1919, she was married to Henry L. Joeckel, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother Beverly Jones of Linwood, Wash., and four sisters, Mrs. Ida Guiberson of Winterset, Mrs. May Grimes of West Burlington, Mrs. Vera Stewart of Santa Fe, N. Mex., and Mrs. Kate Tunning of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Memorial cemetery at Burlington.
