MRS. LOUIE PICKEN DIES AT 85 YEARS

Mrs. Louie Picken of St. Charles died at a nursing home there Friday, April 12. She was 85 years of age.

Mrs. Picken was born at St. Charles Feb. 12, 1883, a daughter of Milton and Catherine Johnston Bean. Her life was spent in that community, and she was married there on May 2, 1901 to Joseph Picken. She was a member of the St.Charles Methodist church, and the St. Charles Garden club.

She is survived by two brothers, H. V. Bean of Winterset and Dudley Bean of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services were held Monday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. James Louk. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
