Page 11, Column 5BRADIE PHILLIPS OF TRURO DIES
Mrs. Bradie J. Phillips of Truro, a life-time resident of Madison county, died Monday Dec. 15, at the Johnston Rest home in St. Charles. She was 87 years of age.
Mrs. Phillips was the former Bradie Jane Creger, daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Reed Creger. She was born in Madison county May 28, 1882.
She was married in 1902 to Homer Brown. Subsequent marriages were to Dana Woolery in 1916 and to Robert E. Phillips in 1923.
She was a member of the Methodist church at Truro and of the Order of Eastern Star in that community.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Brown of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Lyla Lynch of St. Charles; four stepchildren; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Truro Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Richard Hampenius. Burial was made in Young cemetery at Truro.
