Services for Alice Louise Phillips, 68, Truro, who died June 17 at Des Moines General Hospital were held Monday, June 20 at the United Church of Christ at Truro. Burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
She was born in Madison County on April 5, 1920, the daughter of Newt and Myrtle Worley Sankey. She graduated from Winterset High School and was a longtime resident of the Truro area.
She was married to Richard "Dick" Phillips on December 13, 1940 at Nashua, Iowa, and was employed by Blue-Cross for 18 years and retired in 1985.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Jolly Fu and the United Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of Truro; sons, Larry, Gary and wife Kathy and Terry and wife Nancy, all of Truro; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a brother, Lloyd of Winterset; sisters, Mildred Daniels ofAlbuquerque, N. M., Harriet McDonald of Winterset and Dorothy Rambow of Winterset.
