MRS. ALICE DAVIS OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Mrs. Alice Bell Davis of St. Charles died at a nursing home there Thursday, June 21. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Davis had lived most of her life in and around St. Charles and Truro. She was born at Sandyville on March 4, 1869, a daughter of James and Sarah McConnelee. She was married Nov. 14, 1888, to William Davis.

Near surviving relatives are Mrs. Ethel Wyatt of Gourie, Mrs. Sadie Van DeWeerd of Cresco, and Harold Davis of Alta.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Moore of Blockton. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
