Mrs. Alta C. Creger of Truro died at a nursing home in St. Charles Tuesday, June 19, at the age of 82 years.
Born in Warren county on Dec. 5, 1873. Mrs. Creger spent most of her life on a farm near Truro. She was a daughter of Slim (Samuel) and Rebecca Lucas and was the widow of Reuben Creger, to whom she was married in 1895.
Surviving are a son, Leland Creger of Truro; and a daughter, Mrs. Reba Dickson of Baton Rouge, La.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Truro Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Moore of Blockton. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery near Truro.
