CASH DOWNS OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Life-Long Resident There Was 85 Years of Age

Cashus E. Downs, life-long resident of the St. Charles community and a prominent farmer there for many years, died Sunday, June 10 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Clark, northeast of Patterson. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Downs was born near St. Charles, and spent his entire life in and near that community.

In addition to Mrs. Clark, he leaves another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Refford of Pomeroy; and a son, Kenneth Downs of St. Charles.

Funeral services was held Tuesday from the St. Charles Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Fred Evans. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
