Richard Garrett, a man of about 35 years died at the St. Nicholas Hotel Tuesday evening. He was affected with Bright's disease and had been a sufferer for years. The funeral occurred at the home of his brother, George Garrett who lives on Green Street.

DEATH OF RICHARD GARRETT

Succumbs to Bright’s Disease After a Long Illness

Richard Garrett passed away early Tuesday morning, after an illness of two years from Bright’s disease. His condition had been critical for the past year or more and it was only be reason of a strong constitution that the ravages of the disease was stayed until this time. The deceased was a son of the late W. B. Garrett, one of the early settlers of Walnut township, and a brother of Geo. H., Thos. and Robert all of this county.

Funeral services were held from the home of Geo. H. Garrett on yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. S. Corkey of the Presbyterian church, and the remains interred in the Winterset cemetery.
