MRS. GAYLORD KITT BURIED AT WINTERSET

Her Death Occurred Tuesday May 22, at Memorial Hospital

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset, for Mrs. Gaylord Kitt, whose death occurred Tuesday, May 22 at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset.

Mrs. Kitt who was 70 years of age had been a resident of Winterset the past 24 years. She was the former Catherine Blanche Hemphill, daughter of Albert and Anna Payton Hemphill. She was born Nov. 1, 1885, in the Fairview neighborhood of Madison county. On Feb. 16, 1916 she was married to Gaylord Kitt at DeSoto. They lived at Casey, before moving to Winterset 24 years ago.

She had been a member of the Methodist churches at Dexter, Casey, and Winterset. She also was a member of the Royal Neighbor lodge at Winterset.

She is survived by her husband and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Goss of Minot, N. Dak., and Mrs. Vivian Piatt of Des Moines.

The Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church, conducted the funeral services last Thursday. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
