Services Held For Doris Peterson

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Elnora Peterson, 57, of Truro were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Boone. Burial was in the Linwood Park Cemetery with Pastor Arnold Thoren Jr. officiating. Mrs. Peterson died March 15 in Des Moines.

Mrs. Peterson was born in Boone on February 12, 1922, the daughter of Herman Lindahl and Ida Peterson. She was married to Melburn Peterson on September 7, 1940 at Story City. She was a member of the ladies church group in Truro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a grandson.

Survivors include her husband Melburn of Truro; a son, Dr. Charles Peterson of Marysville, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Williams of Boone; three brothers, Walter Lindahl, Vern Lindahl and a twin brother, Elvin Lindahl, all of Boone; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Pearson and Mrs. LaVera Boyd, both of Boone; and three grandchildren.
