C. E. PETERSON DIED SATURDAY

Death From Heart Attack At Residence in Winterset

Clarence E. Peterson, a resident of Madison county for 51 years, died Saturday, March 3, at his home in Winterset. Death resulted from a heart attack. He was 66 years of age.

Mr. Peterson was born in Guthrie county June 9, 1895, a son of John and Ann Beard Peterson. During his active years he engaged in farming, and was a member of the Christian Union church.

He was married Aug. 7, 1916, to Olga M. Berry, who survives him. They were parents of two sons and three daughters. One daughter, Mrs. Cleta Brittain, preceded him in death, two weeks ago.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Clark and Clyde Peterson of Winterset; two daughters, Mrs. Clella Rogers of Winterset and Mrs. Clara Post of Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Hans Peterson of Ames and Albert Peterson of Lorimor; and three sisters, Mrs. May Oaks of Adair, Mrs. Blanche Cook of Nevada, Iowa and Mrs. Evelyn Madison of Whittier, California.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John C. Porath. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
