1980Former Resident Dies in Arkansas
Lawrence Chris Petersen, age 70, died Sept. 24 at Bates Memorial Hospital, Bentonville, Ark.
Born in Audubon County, Iowa, the son of Soren and Kristine Jensen Petersen, he spent most of his life in Iowa, moving to Bentonville only after retiring in the Experimental Department at John Deere, Ankeny, Iowa.
He was married Nov. 22, 1945 to Marjorie Benge, who survives him.
He also leaves a brother, Andrew Petersen of Truro, a sister Alma McKinney of Winterset. One sister, Marie Andersen, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in Callison-McKinney Funeral Chapel, Bentonville, with the Rev. Dean Mann officiating. Burial was made in Benton County Memorial Park.
