FIRE TAKES LIFE OF YOUNG MOTHER

Mrs. Sharon Peters Dies in Her Home at DeSoto Sunday Night.

Mrs. Sharon Peters, aged 24 of DeSoto, died of burns and suffocation last Sunday night in a fire at her home in De Soto.

Mrs. Peters was a native of Madison county and spent her early life in Lee township. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rinard of Lee township. She was the former Sharon Rinard.

The fire in which Mrs. Peters died broke out in her home shortly after midnight. She was sleeping on a davenport in the living room. He husband, Wayne Peters and two little daughters, Becky, aged 7 and Melissa, aged 3 were sleeping in the bedrooms.

In recounting the tragedy, Peters said he was awakened by dense smoke in the house. He broke out a window of his bedroom to get outside, then went to the window of the bedroom where the girls were sleeping, broke it and rescued the two children. He was unable to reach his wife.
