LYSLE NICHOLSON DIED THURSDAY
Native of Winterset Dies in Des Moines at Age of 65 years
Lysle A. Nicholson, former Winterset and Madison county resident, died of cancer, Thursday morning, April 19th, at his home at 1423 Ninth street, Des Moines, at the age of 65 years. Mr. Nicholson had been ill for the past ten months.
He was a son of Thomas Benton and Sarah Brittain Nicholson, and was born in Winterset, November 30, 1890. He resided in Winterset, for many years, and served as a painter and decorator. Ten years ago, he moved to Des Moines, where he has since resided.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Howard of Des Moines, Mrs. Wayne Reeck of Waukee and Mrs. Fred Hill of Huntington Park, California. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. J. W. Bunker of Winterset, seven grandchildren and three nieces, Mrs. Robert H. Speer of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. M. B. Mattison of La Crosse, and Mrs. Harvey C. Davis of Orient.
The Rev. W. W. Steinmetz conducted his funeral services, at the Anderson home for funerals, Sunday afternoon, at 2 p.m. and burial was made in the Winterset cemtery.
