MRS. LORA ROSEMAN DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Lora Roseman, a native of Madison county, died April 9 at Los Angeles, Calif., after an illness of several months. She was 85 years of age.
Mrs. Roseman was the former Lora LaPella, daughter of John and Catherine Eyerly LaPella. She was born near Winterset July 14, 1870. After attending high school in Winterset, she lived in or near Earlham for many years. In 1901 she was married to Elmer E. Roseman. They moved to Pasadena, Calif., in 1912, because of his health.
She was active in the Methodist church, and became the first matron of Robincroft, a national home for retired Methodist missionaries and deaconesses. Since 1942, she and her husband had lived at the Hollenbeck home, a residence for retired persons, in Los Angeles.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Clarence DeVault of Pasadena.
Funeral services were held in Pasadena and burial made in Mountain View cemetery there.
