Mabel Graham Payton, Los Angeles, Ca.

Word has been received here of the death of Mabel Payton, a native of Winterset, who died in Los Angeles at the age of 106.

Born here on Oct. 8, 1880, she was a sister of the late Lee Graham and an aunt of the late Joe Graham, both longtime residents of this community. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, one named Percival and the other Payton.

She is survived by a great niece, Susan A. Graham of Minneapolis, Minn.

Coordinator's note: The deceased was in the 1880 Madison County Census, age 8 months, so her year of birth listed herein as 1880 should be 1879. The husband "Percival" was Leo C. Percival, prominent Madison County attorney who died in 1939.
