Lawrence R. “Dick” Dobbins, 76, of the first block of Southeast Park Avenue died of a respiratory ailment Friday at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Dobbins was born in Des Moines and had lived there most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a son, Larry of Des Moines; two sisters, Marilyn Little of Winterset and Bonnie Walling of Dubuque; and three brothers, Walter and Bert, both of Des Moines, and Ronald of Branson, Mo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
