MRS. JAMES SHEEHAN DIES AT DETROIT

Mrs. James P. Sheehan, a native of the Patterson community, died Monday, March 12, at a hospital in Detroit, Mich., where she had made her home since 1939.

Mrs. Sheehan was the former Anna Elizabeth Swift, daughter of Patrick and Catherine Swift. She was born in Madison county Jan. 27, 1877. She moved to Adair county with her parents in 1890. On June 26, 1900, she was married in Creston to James P. Sheehan. They moved to Detroit in 1939, and that city had since been their home.

She is survived by her husband; and 10 children; Helen, Hester, Louis, and Henry Sheehan, Mrs. Gertrude Miller, and Mrs. Milon Hartig, all of Detroit; Howard Sheehan of Port Huron, Mich.; Herbert Sheehan of Carleton, Mich.; Hugh Sheehan of Great Falls, Mont.; and Mrs. Clayton Wallace of Winterset.

Funeral services were held March 15 from Belssed Sacrament cathedral in Detroit, and burial was made in Detroit.
