Marjorie F. Butler, 89, of Carlisle, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at Carlisle Care Center. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.

Marjorie was born in Winterset, and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a candy packer for Suzette Home Made Candies and Peggy Ann Candies before her retirement in 1985.

She is survived by three sons, Richard W. DeArmond (Mary) of Sun City, AZ. Robert L. Butler, Sr. (Donna) of Des Moines, and Donald E. Butler (Anne) of Ankeny, a sister, Betty Cameron of Hubbard, TX; eight grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Ray Butler.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or the Carlisle Care Center.
