RICHARD KNEUPER DIED ON SUNDAY

Richard Kneuper, well-known resident of Jefferson township for many years, died Sunday, Feb. 19, at the age of 68 years. He had been an invalid for 26 years.

Mr. Kneuper is survived by his wife, Henrietta; a son, Richard Jr.; and two grandchildren; all of Jefferson township.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township. Burial was to be made in the cemetery there.

RITES WEDNESDAY FOR R. F. KNEUPER

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township for Richard F. Kneuper, whose death had occurrrred Feb. 19 at his home southwest of Van Meter.

Mr. Kneuper was 68 years of age. He was born in Madison county Sept. 19, 1887, a son of Reinhold and Ann Kneuper. He had been a member of the Lutheran church since infancy.

He was married at Van Meter on April 22, 1917, to Henrietta Niendorf. They were parents of two children, Richard Jr, and Irene. The daughter died in infancy.

Mr. Kneuper enlisted in the U. S. army in 1917, for service in World War I and received an honorable discharge in 1918.

In 1929 he was stricken with an illness that left him parlyzed and for the last 26 years ahd been confined to a wheel chair.

Surviving are his wife; the son; two grandsons, Richard III and Robert; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Vaudt of Whittemore.

The Rev. C. G. Meyer conducted his funeral services last Wednesday. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
