1979Mable Lee Patzig, a former resident of Winterset and Des Moines, died of cancer Tuesday, March 6, 1979 at Sun City, Arizona, where she had lived since 1967.
Services were held on Friday March 9 at the Sunland Chapel in Sun City. The body was cremated. Interment was at Sunland Mausoleum in Sun City.
Mrs. Patzig was born onAugust 7, 1912 in Winterset, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rowe. She attended Grinnell College and Iowa State College and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was married on June 7, 1935 to Monroe L. Patzig, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, a sister, Mary Lee Zeller of Clearwater, Florida and three nieces.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Sun Valley Lodge Nursing Home in Sun City.
